Meet the HEAL Team

Bethany Forest (500RYT)

Bethany Forest is a Yogi, traveler and nature junkie. Her journey to yoga began in college, where she discovered that fitness could be so much more than movement, and her love of yoga was cemented there amidst fighting major depressive disorder due to unresolved trauma.

Bethany received her 200hr certification in 2010, and completed her 500RYT in 2018, with an emphasis on Vinyasa, Astanga, Power, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Thai Yoga Massage and Ayurveda. She also holds certification in trauma informed yoga practices, and is currently working in somatic training. She began organizing locally held retreats in the gorgeous state of Utah in 2019 and feels called to do this work. No stranger to the challenges of life, Bethany enjoys getting to know her retreat participants and empowering true HEALing from within. She enjoys cultivating HEALing experiences through Yoga, Nature, Ayurveda and HEALing meals. When she’s not hosting, you can find her playing outdoors with her husband Taylor, and 2 fur babies, Paiya and Vajra.

Heather Jones-Proctor (200YT)

As a long distance runner for 17 years, Heather ran into her first yoga class 13 years ago to help deal with the consequences of being herself. Within yoga she found many things, but ultimately it was the perfect yin to her yang personality. She holds a 200 Hour E-RYT from Yoga Fit and has 10 years experience as a yoga instructor. Heather is a creative, fun and authentic instructor with a compassion-centered teaching style.

She has experienced teaching Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin , Power, Meditative and Yoga for Trauma. She teaches beginners to advanced levels, cancer survivors, elite military members, and those dealing with trauma. Heather truly believes that yoga has a place for everyone.

Kaylie Driver (200RYT)

Yoga found Kaylie when she was a teenager, when she was going through a really dark place in her life and it's been an amazing tool for her ever since. Yoga helps her connect with God, with herself and with others and she loves using it to serve in the community. She loves the healing power that comes through movement and the energy flow that Yoga has to offer. Yoga helps you remember to BE YOU!! She teaches a wide variety of styles including Vinyasa, Yin, meditation, and others!

Kristie Miller (200RYT)

Kristie earned her 200RYT with emphasis on Astanga Vinyasa with asana, pranayama, and meditation practice in April 2019. She also holds a certificate in mindfulness-based stress reduction from McKay-Dee Behavorial Health. Kristie began practicing martial arts as a way to work through stress and anxiety. When she sustained an injury that limited regular workouts, she turned to yoga. She struggled at first watching others in class and comparing herself, and she pushed herself in a way that was incongruent with the purpose of yoga. It wasn't until she completed her RYT training that she realized yoga is not just a physical practice, but a mental practice as well.

Kristie is passionate about helping you find YOUR practice, YOUR breath, and YOUR mindfulness.  Her other interests include spending time with her 3 children, hiking, camping, golfing and paddleboarding.

Jen Gorder (500RYT)

Jen Gorder, 500RYT, Instructor - HEAL Yoga Studio Ogden Utah

Jen has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. Yoga found Jen as a freshman in college - she signed up for yoga thinking it would be an easy credit. As she developed her practice, she learned that for her, yoga was much more spiritual, emotional and mental than physical. Jen found a safe space to explore all those parts of her. Yoga is still not “easy” for her but the experiences she has on her mat help her find courage and strength to show up for herself off her mat. Jen completed her 200 hour training in 2017 and her 500 hour in 2019. Jen tries to create a space of safety for her students to remember, explore and connect to the strength and courage that resides within all of us.
